Dear Ross, Rob, Peter and family- we were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your mom. She was a friendly, genuine, oh-so-fabulous next door neighbour, and was always sincerely interested in our lives. Her positivity, eclectic mind, and common sense made her a delightful conversationalist, but most of all my memories of Sylvia are those involving our own mother- road trips, antiques, and, of course- bridge. Sylvia was a devoted friend, always remembering Mom's birthday and calling often. Mom leaned hard on her friend in these later years and really missed her company. The adventures of Sylvia and the Bettys were epic, and their friendship was a model for those of us whose crazy busy lives kept us from spending that type of extended time with good friends. Your mother was a wonderful person, and we will never forget her. Her 'Oh my word' delighted us all, and became her signature phrase in our household. We all held her in highest esteem and great affection. When I lived in Saint John I popped in to see her as often as I could, and always enjoyed our chats. Sending sincerest condolences from our family to yours.

To all the Davidson family,
Our sympathy and prayers continue to be with you all now as you grieve and also as you celebrate cherished memories.
We knew Sylvia for many years as members of Stone church. She was always young at heart and her smile and laughter touched us all. Sylvia was a faithful prayer warrior and served on our Prayer Chain for many years. Sylvia leaves a lasting beautiful legacy in our hearts.

Dearest Davidson cousins and children, Aunt Syl was a remarkable lady! She opened her heart and kitchen to us with equal flair. Every summer the White clan from Montreal, would join the Davidson's for more fabulous adventures. Rothesay and New River hold my favorite memories! She shared wonderful stories with her distinctive laugh, and sang beautifully around Bab's roaring campfire! We feel blessed to have felt such love. Hugs and prayers, Brenda (White)Gerometta

Dear Ross, Rob, Peter and family,
Sylvia was a dear friend who blessed us with her generosity and kindness in so many ways. We especially enjoyed her fun-loving spirit and lovely sense of humour. She was a woman of faith who loved the chorus “ only by grace can we enter, only by grace can we stand.” She knew this grace came through Jesus Christ. We will miss her greatly. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Bea and Jan

I will miss dear Sylvia, immensely. I had the pleasure to know your mother through my mother Ruth Greene. They had many trips together including their last venture to Alaska. The three of us would often go out to lunch and so I was able to know quite a bit about your mom.
We all know what a devoted Christian she was, and how she loved Stone Church
I took Sylvia on long drives and was able to learn a lot about Bill and her past. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we shared a lot of laughs and ice-creams.
One of her favorite outings was to come to my home at Acamac and sit on my deck and watch the river and boats. Sometimes we would have a picnic and a glass of wine - another of her favorites!!
Sylvia was from that remarkable generation -kind, loving and giving. She will be sadly missed by many and she often told me how lucky she was to be so blessed and to have a long life.

Dear Rob, Peter, Ross & family.....Thoughts and prayers are with you. Mac & I felt very blessed to have Sylvia as a friend.. Sylvia was a devoted Christian who loved and lived life to the fullest.... was kind and giving , had a great sense of humor, loved entertaining and was a great hostess and cook, enjoyed music and would love dancing especially to the "big band" music. Have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Syl....trips to Spain and Florida, etc.,,, playing bridge & scrabble, walking in the woods in the fall where we would gather leaves, etc, for fall decorations for church, and Sylvia volunteering in the Church office. She brought sunshine with her and spread the love of Christ to all. Sylvia was a treasure who was loved by all who knew her. A life well lived, Sylvia, I will miss you dear Sylvia.

She was proud of her faith in the Church and a most Christian person….I remember, shortly after she moved to Shannex…I open my facebook page…and their was Sylvia dancing at a get together in their party room. I immediately called her ..”Sylvia, your on facebook dancing…She had a good laugh. She took part in everything there. I will miss her……
