Obituary of Dr. Emmanuel Christian Basque D.C.
The death of Dr. Emmanuel Christian Basque D.C. occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, after a nine year struggle with colorectal cancer. Born on September 13, 1979 in Saint John, he was a son of Dorothy (Phillips) Basque and the late Richard Basque.
Prior to his graduation from Saint John High School in 1997, Emmanuel had been a member of the school’s International Baccalaureate Program. Following high school, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from UNBSJ and went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, Dorest, United Kingdom. Emmanuel enjoyed reading and keeping up to date with current affairs.
In addition to his mother, Dorothy, Emmanuel is survived by his brother, Nathaniel; uncles, Peter Kane and Doug Phillips; cousins, Lisa Kane (her daughter, Kathleen Vergunst) and David Kane (Ruthmary); as well as paternal aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his aunt, Eleanor Kane and uncle, Raymond Phillips.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visitation taking place on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A private service will be held and will be followed by the interment which will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
